Why Mining and Pollution Is Destructive

People vote for a Government so their rights can be protected

However, when the air they breathe is about to be polluted their rights are not respected

Leaders choose to forget the past and think only about earning in destructive ways

They don’t even think about future generations and how people want to live to see better days

When people want to keep on living off their land and don’t want mining to be done

A Government who doesn’t care about protecting the environment believes there is a battle to be won

Why can’t they see that their plan might not be best for the people at this time

Government should see that disturbing peaceful people could lead to more crime

When these people can’t plant crops and earn from the land anymore

How will they live? How will they start planning for a future that is secure

We all need to stand up for these people and don’t allow their rights to be trampled on

Government should communicate with people more before they make these decisions

Environmental protection is connected to so many aspects of our lives

When our environment is polluted, tell me, how will we thrive

Let us build environmental protection awareness in a new and better way

Our children deserve to have an opportunity to plan for a bright future today

How will they do that if their Government only care about making big money

Honest people should be able to earn in their own way and look forward to a future that is bright and sunny

Our children will be prepared to do what is right for the environment one day

When we build environmental protection in a new and better way

If we should allow these leaders who don’t care much about the food we eat

One day we will only be sitting behind concrete walls as we wait for defeat

Why won’t leaders care about the future after they get most of our votes?

It is time for more people to rise up and take note

Now that some teenagers are fed up and they are demonstrating in the streets

Adults should act and stop following leaders who are full of deceit

Our children deserve to have a future that is great

We should be doing all we can for them, before it is too late

It is just not right for adults to cause children to have a plight

We should all be doing more to get our leaders to see the light
