If we want to save the planet for future generations to see
We should be talking more about living plastic free
Plastic pollution is growing at an unsustainable rate
With all this pollution how can we do anything great
There is an increase in the number of cancer patients in hospitals
So many people are living in poverty, if more recycling was done they would be standing tall
The soil they plant their crop in, is polluted with many chemicals, it’s toxic
We should be saying we didn’t see so many cancer patients in the past when we used less plastic
If we won’t build environmental protection awareness in a new and better way
Our children will keep on doing things in the old way and never live to see a brighter day
Building environmental protection awareness is the best thing we can do
So that more recycling can be done and the poor will find ways to make it through
Covid-19 has caused increased poverty in many places
And we all should be trying to find ways to put smiles on faces
Protecting the environment while we earn
Is about doing things in a new way while we learn
We Can See Many Benefits When we Protect the Environment
We will learn about refurbishing, renovating, repairing and more
There are new skills for people to develop so they won’t remain poor
There are so many benefits to see and the poor has a lot to gain
And when the environment is protected we could see less flooding when it rains
The benefits we will see when more people are aware of the need for environmental care are many
I don’t think there are people who would have objections to this, but why would they have any?
Having a clean environment is what we all need
Pollution and poverty won’t help us all to succeed
So join the movement that is building environmental protection awareness today
