There has been so much job loss during the pandemic
The many deaths, the illness and increased poverty has been tragic
However, we need to think of ways to rebuild so we won’t continue sinking
It would be good to develop green economies when more people change their way of thinking

There are many new ideas to be found when we think about the problems we face
And when we find solutions a lot of stress can be replaced
Since we all agree that having a green future would be great
We can do things in a new way and find better ways to celebrate
We should be building environmental protection awareness in a new and better way
So that our children can look forward to having a better life one day
Our teenagers have been quite vocal about the climate crisis recently
And the leaders seem to be ready to face our grim reality
Some accepted that we can’t afford to keep on doing things in the same old way
As there is no other planet we can live on, if we should totally destroy this one today
We can only hope that these leaders will set good examples for the nations they lead
People need to wake up and understand that going green is about taking action so we can succeed

Lovely and profound post, Denise. We have to create green jobs so that we can restrain pollution that is everywhere and we all can then live in a better environment away from smokes and other dirty gases that emit in our atmosphere.
