I’ve never been worried about deforestation, but encouraged managing the forests, and we know more ways of doing that. Something we could consider is planting trees where normally they haven’t existed, and that takes some research.
I liked the idea of encouraging more people to plant trees, the people who use trees and need them to survive should be replanting trees long ago. I don’t know why we have deforestation in the first place, it wouldn’t be happening if people were learning about the need for trees
