Too Many People are Not Aware of the Need for Environmental Care

For many years, those who are not aware of the need for environmental care

Have destroyed mangroves, forests and more important ecosystems, as they pollute the water and air

Causing the planet to become more toxic as time goes by

And now the youth are saying there is a need for change, and some are asking why

They ask why, when the earth can get too warm for us to live on it anymore

Is it that they don’t know that a change in their action can help them to have a future that is secure?

Now there is too much starvation and poverty that is caused by climate change

It is time for us all to do something new, even if we think it is strange

We do more for ourselves when we think about the birds and the bees and plant more trees

We might be causing the ice that existed at the north pole to freeze

Even though some folks say it makes no sense to care

If we don’t, our only alternative will be fear

Instead of admiring lush green forests we will be looking forward to stress

When there is no food on Supermarket shelves because the water needed for crops to grow got less

We need to tell more people about the need for environmental care

So that more will be done to avoid starvation and despair

Don’t allow them to believe it is good to have more construction when they should be raising an objection
