The World’s Largest Iceberg break off happened recently
And we hope this will cause more of us to think critically
So we change a lot of the things we do each day
So we can make plans to help the children to live in a better way
Climate change is causing more cyclones, hurricanes and drought as the years go by
The young people are worried while some of the older folks deny
They say this is nothing new and the ice will form again after a while
Even though the young ecowarriors have decided that they cannot smile

Sea level rise and disappearing islands don’t mean a thing to those who are in denial
While the people who lose their homes and livelihood, face a huge trial
When they become climate refugees, with nowhere to call home
They wonder if all they will do for the rest of their lives, is roam

While people in other places use so much fossil fuels and release greenhouse gases in the air
They believe they are safe where they are so they just don’t care
Even though natural disasters are happening in more places, and it is strange
Some folks won’t try to share the burdens of those who are badly affected by climate change
As we don’t know when we could lose everything and we won’t be able to manage
Let us spread the word about the need for environmental care in a new and better way
We should be trying to send all the problems away
Now that solutions have been found by environmentalists
A lot of our pollution problems could cease to exist

Very informative and profound post, Denise. The video was an eye opener. We are all going to lose our wonderful earth if we do not know how to take care of it. Let us all join hands together for a beautiful World.
You are so right, so many beautiful beaches are disappearing and I am worried
Yes dear Denise I completely agree with you. Sad life

In Canada, our mainstream print news-media, like our federal governments, support Canada’s fossil fuel industry. Postmedia is on record as being formally allied with not only the planet’s second most polluting forms of “energy” (i.e. fossil fuel), but also the most polluting/dirtiest of crude oils — bitumen. For me, most pressing is: should the promotion of massive fossil fuel extraction, even Canada’s own, be a partisan position for any newspaper giant to take, especially considering its immense role in global warming thus climate change? And, at least in this case, whatever happened to the honorable journalistic role of ‘afflicting the comfortable’ (which went along with ‘comforting the afflicted’), especially one of such environmental monstrosity?

Hope we can work towards changing what we are doing now. The love for money is a big monster we are not talking about, I think
