When we use plastic we all need to think of the length of time it is designed to survive
If we won’t reduce, recycle and reuse and get ready to implement the zero waste plan everywhere
We will never have clean and healthy water and air
Microplastics and nano plastics that no one cared about before
Are being found in places we didn’t expect them to be in, more and more
Wealth for no health is a bad trade
Change is needed now that we know that a bad foundation was laid
Using single-use-plastic was a bad idea in those days
As now we know that we are destroying the environment in so many ways
If we were doing more to protect the creatures that are living in the ocean before
The plastic pollution problem would not be standing at our door
Some countries are now implementing single-use-plastic bans
They say we have got to start somewhere when we can
Some folks say we are not recycling enough
And getting people to separate their waste is a job that is so tough
But we could find a creative way to encourage people to change their ways
Tell them how going green can help them to live to see better days
Tell them how they can save money when they save the environment
It will be much easier for them to make a commitment
It would be good if we could all have a new mindset
As we can all do more reusing, reducing and recycling and then avoid having regret
We can also tell the children how good it is to go green
So they will be doing all they can to keep the environment clean
We can support the companies that are using plastic waste to make new products now
This will cause more persons to be interested in starting these businesses somehow
Enough is not being said about repairing, upcycling ang recycling plastic
I hope this will change now that Government started taking action that is drastic
