We destroy our own lives everyday
When we cut down trees and pollute the air in many ways
We have less food to eat and more illnesses
And tell ourselves that all we need are some of the businesses
But if we could learn to earn in new ways as we protect the environment
After a while we would find so much peace and contentment
As there would be enough food for everyone on the planet to eat
When farmers are treated in a better way, they won’t think of accepting defeat
When the drought or the floods destroy their crops in the field
They are not able to earn from what their hard work yields
Job creation should not only be about having more buildings to sit in
If we continue destroying the environment we will never win
Toxins in the water, food and air will destroy our health
And we won’t be able to enjoy wealth
Plastic pollution, deforestation, air pollution and all the other problems we see
Have caused so much devastation because we won’t decide that we don’t want to have misery
It is time for us to change the way we protect our planet now
We need to start planning for the future of our children somehow
