When we produce a lot of things that will pollute the soil we are simply killing ourselves
Sometimes we see obese people, rich people and stores with packed shelves
But the soil gets more toxic each day as the many cell phones and electronics rot
We slowly forget that this earth is the only home we’ve got
And when we start thinking about the planet we are passing on to the next generation
We can do more now to protect our environment and have healthy nations
When food is not planted in toxic soil and the air we breath is not polluted
We will benefit a lot and this is not a claim that has been refuted
Our food is one of the most important things we need on earth
It is time for us to think about what nutrition is worth
The farmers don’t get the right pay
As the poor seem to live in the same way
After they work so hard to provide for us each day
I believe they should be treated in a much better way
It makes no sense for us to believe that money is all we need
And those who don’t have a lot of it, just didn’t find a way to succeed
This way of thinking can lead to the increased pollution of the environment
So we don’t have healthy meals and there is no peace and contentment
Money without health will take us to a dark place
Soon we will wonder why we can’t have a smile on our face
It is time for us to stop and think before we buy things these days
So that our money can help us to live in better ways
Our money should not be causing us to pollute our environment
So let us change the way we spend, and make a commitment
And say the next generation should not be inheriting a toxic soil
They should be using clean energy and they shouldn’t need to depend on oil
Let’s protect our health
As it is far more important than wealth
And now that we know that environmental protection is important
We can start buying more of what we need and not just what we want
