We are living in a highly materialistic society they say
But no one will reduce advertising and do things in a different way
Even though we know that the oceans are filled with our waste
Who is saying change is needed and we need to make haste
And change our materialistic ways and do some more
We could change the way in which the rich helps the poor
We would not have as much waste to discard
We could find out that we don’t need to work so hard
As less can do more and we can find peace of mind
When we don’t hoard everything and decide to be kind
Sharing can fix a lot of the problems we have with the pollution of our environment
A lot of the things we discard can help the poor to have a life that is decent
Trash to cash living and materialism needs to walk hand in hand
The Zero waste plan is great, Let us help more persons to understand
